About Nicole

I am a licensed acupuncturist and completed my four-year graduate training from the top Chinese medicine school in the country, the Oregon College of Oriental Medicine. I feel most like myself when I get to advocate for people, and I love to do that through acupuncture and Chinese medicine. Prior to becoming an acupuncturist, I worked in research labs and primary care clinics, but these fields did not allow for the meaningful relationships I'd hoped to form with those I served. My interest in acupuncture and Chinese Medicine was piqued when I experienced profound relaxation during an acupuncture treatment. The goal of the treatment wasn’t stress reduction, yet I found myself unable to have a worried thought as I rested with the needles. I get excited at the opportunity to help others experience this relaxation while finding relief from their health concerns.

In addition to stress-management, some of my special interests include eye conditions, sleep difficulty, digestive concerns, and supportive care for those undergoing or who have undergone cancer treatment. I find Chinese medicine so valuable because it offers a unique perspective for how the body works. I feel strongly that people deserve options for their healthcare and am passionate about serving those who have been struggling to find meaningful treatments. People who have worked with me say that I approach treatments with gentleness, conscientiousness, and a drive for continuous learning and growing. Along with acupuncture, I like to incorporate Tuina (Chinese massage), Shiatsu (Japanese massage), cupping, gua sha, moxibustion, visceral manipulation, Chinese herbal medicine, and nutritional therapy into my treatments. I aim to make each treatment as unique and dynamic as each individual I treat.

When I'm not in the clinic, I enjoy making stained glass art, birdwatching, and adventuring throughout Oregon with my partner and dog. I'm grateful to be back in Ashland, where the hills surrounding the Rogue Valley feel like home.
